Horseware Ireland was born from a simple idea based on a real need and has since grown to become the world’s most trusted producer of horse rugs. Their mission is to “make life better” for the horse, the rider and the planet. Made by equestrians, for equestrians all of their products have comfort and protection.
Horseware are proud to partner with world class equestrians such as Steve Guerdat, Cian O’Connor and Laura Kraut, provide them with the best equestrian products to help them perform at the highest level.
A selection of key international events such as Sunshine Tour (Spain) and Falsterbo (Sweden) is where they connect with consumers.
The question
Inspired by …
We were contacted by Horseware in 2019 for the Dublin Horse show; as they were looking for an eye-catcher in the big grass arena to promote their brand. Being able to start from a basic but inspiring logo and having colors uplifting the overall; we designed a first obstacle that has just that little bit more.
Soon they decided to extend the line to more shows and even their sponsored riders got an obstacle delivered at their homes.

The solution
Designing for tomorrow …
We deliberately chose to produce the wings in wood. By deviating from the basic aluminum frame, we can work larger, wider and especially more dimensional. The wings are just under 150 cm wide, which they certainly may have on the immense grassy arenas of Dublin or Sunshine Tour. The expressive imagery from the logo comes fully into its own and we maintain a classic look.
